With Taj Mahal Private Trip, your journey begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel or the airport in Delhi. Our driver will take you to the Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station, where you will board the Shatabdi Express to Agra. The train departs at 06:10 AM sharp. Breakfast will be served on the train as you begin your journey toward Agra.

07:50 AM: Arrival in Agra

The Shatabdi Express will arrive at Agra Cantt. Railway Station at 07:50 AM. Upon arrival, our driver will be waiting to take you to the Taj Mahal to begin your sightseeing adventure.

08:00 AM: The Taj Mahal

You will reach the Taj Mahal at approximately 08:00 AM. Agra is globally renowned for this magnificent landmark, and you will have the chance to admire the Taj Mahal, an eternal symbol of love, for hours before breaking for lunch. The Taj Mahal was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, who tragically passed away during childbirth at the age of 40. Its beauty is as legendary as the love story it represents.

11:00 AM: Agra Fort

After visiting the Taj Mahal, we will head to the Agra Fort. Known as the sister monument to the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort was once the seat of the Mughal Empire. It played a crucial role during the Mughal reign and is now a museum that showcases the grandeur of Mughal history. Built by Emperor Akbar, it remained the capital until the Mughal dynasty moved the capital to Delhi.

Next, we will take you to one of the finest restaurants in Agra for a traditional lunch. Agra is famous for its delicious cuisine, so take your time to enjoy the flavors of the region. After lunch, relax and unwind before continuing the day’s exploration.

02:30 PM: Baby Taj

Following lunch, we will visit the Baby Taj, also known as the Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daula. This monument is often referred to as a ‘jewel box’ due to its intricate design and is considered a precursor to the Taj Mahal. It was built by Empress Nur Jahan for her father, Mirza Ghiyas Beg, a Persian noble in Emperor Jahangir’s court. Interestingly, Mumtaz Mahal, the inspiration for the Taj Mahal, was the granddaughter of Mirza Ghiyas.

04:00 PM: Heritage Walk

Next, we will proceed to Kachhpura Village for a Heritage Walk. This peaceful village offers an insightful glimpse into Mughal-era landmarks such as the historical Baoli wells and Humayun Mosque. As you walk along the River Yamuna, you’ll enjoy views of the Agra Fort and can explore the Gyarah Sidi, an impressive monument carved from a single stone. This heritage experience will immerse you in the historical ambiance of Mughal Agra.

06:45 PM: Departure

After your fascinating day of exploration, our driver will take you back to Agra Cantt. Railway Station, where you will board the return Shatabdi train to Delhi. The train departs at 08:35 PM and will arrive at Delhi Railway Station at 10:35 PM. Dinner will be served on the train during your journey back to Delhi.
